3 Sessions, Higher Scores! provides students with self-regulation tools and techniques to turn anxiety into composure and emotional calm. This allows them to slow things down, focus, think through questions, maximize their cognitive abilities, and achieve Higher Scores. Jason F.
16-year old, Junior Huntington, NY
Jason’s parents came to me after he scored an 1150 in his SAT debut. Following the exam Jason reported to his parents that he felt “very nervous” compared to taking practice SAT’s and felt like he “choked.” After 3 sessions with Jason to lower his anxiety and improve his overall mental game, he took the SAT again and scored a 1230. In my de-brief with Jason he stated that he felt “much calmer” the second time around and that his “pacing and focus” was much better.
*Jason’s 80-point improvement is typical of a kid who has “moderately-high test anxiety” due to being overly perfectionistic and hyper-focused on results that he cannot control.
